How Being Curious Opens Possibility In Your Life
Being curious opens up endless possibilities in your life. Let curiosity guide you and it will create new paths and opportunities you might never have imagined.
It’s about breaking free from a one-track mindset and discovering new directions. When you approach life with creativity and openness, that’s how you truly build a life full of purpose and intention.
The key to learning this way of thinking is by embracing uncertainty and letting the universe guide you in life. Trust that it has your back and that it will provide for you.
Personal Examples From My Own Life
Yesterday, I went to the mall with a purpose. I was looking to buy some new clothing because I’m planning to market to wealthy audiences in San Diego. I went there with no intentions and was just going to wander and be curious.
While walking around, I saw a big wall that said “Get Curious.” My phone was away so I was able to really soak in that moment. To me, the universe was providing a sign confirming that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
But see, the important part is that I was open to witnessing what I saw and I noticed it and just took note of it.
Winning At the Hotel Lobby
Back at the hotel where I was staying, another insightful moment unfolded. I struck up a conversation with a gentleman who had a nice car and golf bags. I wondered if I knew the area well.
Through our conversation, I discovered he has a home in La Jolla and is looking for some art. He took my contact info and it could turn into my first commission. The whole opportunity just opened up because I was curious and present.
Finding Our Way After Covid
We all went through Covid together and ended up becoming a more remote society. In that process, we got really good at consuming media and lost a bit of that natural curiosity and human connection.
So this is your wake-up call to put your phone down, stop watching other people's lives, and be curious about your own life again.
If you've seen the movie “Don't Look Up,” you know the plot is basically that everyone’s glued to their phones and missing what’s really happening - like a meteor or aliens taking over. And the point is, we don’t want to miss what’s happening in our own lives because we’re too distracted.
Join the Stay Curious Club
There’s a whole movement out there of people on Instagram and YouTube talking about being more aware and present in their everyday lives. A good friend of mine and I are calling it the Stay Curious Club and I’m inviting you to be a part of it.
It’s where artists, thinkers, and creators are waking up and sharing their journeys. So this is what it’s all about: be curious, take those chances, and design a life where you feel truly alive.
