Fear Does Not Exist

Fear Does Not Exist

Chuck Spidell

Have you ever noticed how many signs tell you no? We have been taught separation and judgment for generations.

They’re everywhere in public spaces: sidewalks, parking lots, schools, libraries, airports, and even bathrooms. The message is always the same.

Don’t do that. You’re not allowed here. You’re breaking the rules. If you do it anyway, there will be consequences. It’s ridiculous.

While most of these signs have a practical purpose, underneath them is subliminal messaging and control.

We absorb that programming so often that fear starts to feel like reality.

Fear Programming Is Everywhere

The signs are only one example. Fear is built into systems of control such as politics, religion, finance, advertising, news, and social media.

Each uses fear differently, but the underlying message is consistent: the world is unsafe, there is never enough, and security must come from something outside ourselves.

This keeps people divided, distracted, and focused on survival instead of connection.

Fear has become so common that most people accept it without ever questioning its purpose.

Fear Is Not Your Natural State

Fear serves a purpose when danger is real. If a car is coming toward you, you hear thunder nearby, or spot a mountain lion while hiking, your body quickly reacts.

Those responses are valid and can help keep you safe.

But humans often create the same experience when no danger is present because of social influence and programming, such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Racing thoughts
  • Worrying about the future
  • Replaying the past
  • Depression
  • A constant sense that something is wrong

We get triggered by external sources, imagine what might happen, and turn it into a story in our minds. Then we experience it as if it were already real.

That is the difference between responding to danger and manufacturing fear.

The idea reminds me of one of my favorite sci-fi movies from the ’80s, They Live. The main character discovers the truth through a pair of sunglasses that reveal hidden commands and programming woven into society.

It may be science fiction, but the real-world version is all around us. You just have to notice it.

Animals Respond to What Is Real

Animals experience danger, but they do not appear to build entire futures around it the way humans do.

A dog hears fireworks and reacts. A bird sees a predator and flies away. A seal spots an orca and gets out of the water.

They respond to what is actually happening in the moment.

Humans often carry danger beyond the moment, replay it, predict it, and turn it into a lasting state of fear.

Happiness Is Your Default State

Our natural state as humans is happiness.

You can see it most clearly in children. They do not wake up expecting the day to go wrong. They are naturally curious, learn through play, and create without overthinking it.

Fear is a programmed response that must be introduced, repeated, and reinforced by the systems around us.

Happiness does not need to be taught because it’s already there.

Society is constantly teaching us to be afraid, but we can protect our natural state by choosing what we allow into our experience.

Create a Happy Bubble

One thing you can do is create what I call a “happy bubble.”

Fill it with the positive things you want surrounding you every day:

  • People who make you feel good
  • Knowledge and information that help you grow
  • Music, images, and content that bring you joy
  • Experiences that create peace, freedom, and connection

Your happy bubble becomes the reality you choose to live inside.

Part of creating that reality is learning how to protect your creative energy from people, messages, and habits that pull you back into fear.

As you move through the day, use the concept of alignment as your filter.

Ask yourself:

  • Does this serve me?
  • Does this make me feel good?
  • Does this support the life I am creating?

If the answer is yes, let it in. If it creates stress, fear, lack, or anxiety, say no. And if it does not belong in your world at all, say goodbye.

Create Now Moments

Life is experienced through what I call “now moments.”

These are the parts of your day when you are fully present - living, doing, and being without thinking about the past or trying to control the future.

A now moment can be getting ready in the morning, walking outside, driving somewhere, creating something, or talking with another person.

Each moment carries its own energy. It can be peaceful and positive, or it can be shaped by fear, stress, and reaction.

Let the Moments Build

The goal is to create positive now moments that build on one another throughout the day.

Your happy bubble helps protect them.

When something enters your space, you decide whether it supports the positive experience you are creating or pulls you into fear.

As I explored in What Time Is It, Really?, time helps us organize the physical world, but life itself is always happening now.

Fear lives in an imagined future or a remembered past. When we return to the present moment, both fear and time begin to disappear.

The more often you recognize the moment you are in, the easier it becomes to return to your natural state of happiness.

Live in the World Without Absorbing It

You do not have to escape modern society to live differently.

You can use technology, walk through airports, participate in the financial system, and move through the physical world without allowing its fear to become your reality.

The world may be filled with division, lack, judgment, and control.

That does not mean you have to carry those things with you.

Some spiritual teachings describe this fear-based physical reality as the 3D world. Whatever name you use, the important thing is realizing that you can live within it without allowing it to control your inner experience.

You can exist within the physical world while choosing presence, connection, freedom, and peace.

That is part of remembering that you are a Divine Creator, not simply a passive participant in whatever the world places in front of you.

Choose What Becomes Your Reality

Once you recognize fear programming, you can stop accepting it automatically.

You can question the message, notice the reaction, and decide whether it belongs in your life.

Fear may still appear, but it no longer has to control your thoughts, choices, or direction.

You can return to your happy bubble, your now moment, and the reality you are deliberately creating.

Fear Is Not Your Reality

Fear programming may be built into the world around you, but you do not have to accept it as your reality.

You can notice the signs, messages, warnings, opinions, and predictions without allowing them to shape your inner state.

Real danger requires a response. Manufactured fear requires awareness.

Once you understand the difference, you can stop reacting to everything placed in front of you and start choosing the experience you want to create.

Build your happy bubble. Stay inside the now moment. Let in what brings peace, joy, freedom, and connection.

The world does not get to decide how you feel, you do.

Without fear or time, all we have is freedom.
